Leadership Changes At PERSOLKELLY

Singapore, 8 OCTOBER 2019 – PERSOLKELLY, one of Asia Pacific’s largest HR solutions companies, today announced two significant changes to its Executive Committee. Current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Takayuki Yamazaki, has moved into a senior executive role within PERSOLKELLY’s Japan-based parent company PERSOL HOLDINGS, and current Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Francis Koh has stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer for PERSOLKELLY.

PERSOLKELLY, a joint venture between PERSOL HOLDINGS CO. LTD. and Kelly Services Inc., was established in July 2016 and under the leadership of Mr. Yamazaki, the organisation undertook a period of rapid growth and expansion.

Since 2016, through a mix of organic and acquisition activities, PERSOLKELLY has delivered a 35% increase in headcount and revenue growth of 42% across Asia Pacific.

Mr. Takayuki Yamazaki commented: “The time is right for this succession plan to be activated. It has been three years since the joint venture was launched across the region and I’m very proud of the position PERSOLKELLY is now in.

PERSOLKELLY is a true Asia Pacific business. My approach has always been to lead the organisation with that regional focus. It is important to me that we provide opportunities to grow local talent, develop local leadership and build businesses in each market that are aligned to local cultures.

I have extreme confidence that Francis is the right person to move into the CEO role at PERSOLKELLY. Francis and I have worked closely together for seven years and we have shared values when it comes to leadership and people management, so I am confident this will be a seamless succession.”

Mr. Koh brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and strategic business acumen to his new role as CEO. In addition to his role as the COO with PERSOLKELLY, Mr. Koh was previously the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Capita, an award-winning recruitment and search firm established in Singapore in 2007.

Mr. Koh commented: “This is an exciting time for the PERSOLKELLY business. Mr. Yamazaki has delivered significant success during the past three years and I’m committed to ensuring the PERSOLKELLY growth story continues well into the future.

I look forward to continuing my close relationship with each of the local teams as we continue to focus on building both breadth and depth in our customer relationships, developing platforms that allow our people to thrive and executing the growth plans we have in place across the region.”

The above changes became effective on 1 October 2019.
